Utility work began in November 2024 and will continue until February 2025.

Vertical construction is scheduled to start in Spring 2025 and be completed in Summer 2027.

The traffic control plan was finalized in collaboration with the City of Lubbock. In December 2024, traffic control signage began directing traffic around temporary street closures.

The current closure is on the eastbound lane of 15th Street between Avenue X and Avenue W until mid-March. Work will continue progressing in the eastbound lane between Avenue W and Avenue V.

Lubbock Light and Power (LP&L) has started upgrading electrical lines along Avenue X between 14th and 15th Street, as well as electrical lines in the alley along Avenue X and Avenue V.
